Porcini Dusted Silver Hake, Swiss Chard, Trumpet Mushrooms, Chive Gnocchi February 14, 2012

Filed under: Dinner — Maria @ 7:43 pm

Tonight for dinner we went to the White Dog Cafe and I had the porcini dusted silver hake with swiss chard, trumpet mushrooms, chive gnocchi, in a truffle oil emulsion. It was out of this world! Wow I never had hake before either and it was phenomenally prepared. I just loved every bite. They also gave us warm bread with a honey butter and two shot glass like containers of butternut squash soup courtesy of the chef for coming there for Valentine’s Day. We also ordered an appetizer of local artisan cheese assortment of locally made cheeses, seasonal fruits and accompaniments. It was all soooo good! We really enjoy this restaurant, everything is sooo fresh and they are all about sustainability and supporting local farmers which is amazing. Now I need to study for my last final tomorrow eeek! Happy Valentine’s Day all :D
