4th of July Cupcakes! July 4, 2010

Just need to post the sweet cupcakes my mom and I made for our 4th of July party this afternoon. We also made a pasta salad and I cut out the carrots to look like stars.. so cute! We are rushing to leave so I didn’t have time to take a picture of the salad. I’m so excited to see all of my family and for all the delicious food! Catch ya laterrrrrr!

 

California Roll & Homemade Pizza

For lunch today I bought a California roll made with brown rice at Wegman’s. They have awesome sushi for not being an authentic Japanese restaurant. I was too excited to eat it so I didn’t take a picture of it, but I’m sure you can imagine. The photo I posted today is of a homemade pizza my brother made. He made the pizza sauce and the sauce from scratch. It was actually awesome! I only had a small piece but I wanted more. I know today I will eat more than usual at my aunt’s so I figured I should take it easy for lunch. And he is bringing the ingredients up to make more pizza there, so I can have another piece later ;) I am also reading a great booked entitled “Heart of the Matter” by Emily Giffin. This is her 5th book and I loved her first 4 so I am borrowing this from a friend. I started it last night and love it! So check it out if you can. It’s going to be a hot one today so try and stay cool! Ohh and enjoy the fireworks :)

 

Egg Whites & Red Grapes

Well let’s just say I ate everything in sight at work last night so I didn’t have dinner. The ice cream shop I work at also serves food (burgers, long dogs, fries, pizza frittas, mozzarella sticks, cheese steaks,  pizza etc.) and well I just have a problem saying no to things I used to eat more often but deprive myself of now so I gave in. I had to sample different kinds of ice cream too so yesterday afternoon was not a great one food wise. I’m sure today won’t be much better either but I’m hoping. I’m also planning to spend a lot of time in the pool so I can burn some calories, even if I’m just treading water. Anyway for breakfast I am finishing up my grapes and having 1/2 cup of egg whites. I don’t even feel like eating much but I realize I have to eat something. Alright, well off to get ready for church and then Wegman’s. Happy 4th all :)
